Vortex Music is proud to announce two song placements on the MTV UK reality show Plain Jane: “Big Red Neon Love” was a Hugh Colocott/Janice Fitzgerald co-write; the second song, “A Thing Like Me,” was co-written by Hugh Colocott, Susan Wybiral, Shawn Lopes and Roderick Smith.
Plain Jane is a CW show in its third season here in the U.S., whose rights were picked up by MTV International for release in the UK, Europe, and Asia. Sony has just acquired the rights for distribution in Latin America.
Vortex Music‘s single, “So Long Goodbye,” has quickly climbed to #20 on the Hot Disc Charts in the UK and Australia for recording artist Anna Marie Dobbins.
Anna Marie starred in the feature film FOOTLOOSE and is currently preparing a US CD release with “So Long Goodbye” as the lead-off single.

Anna Marie is a very talented singer, actor, dancer and choreographer with a long list of film and television credits. The song was co-written with the very talented Amber Rhodes. Plans for a U.S. release are scheduled in early 2012.

UK/Swiss recording project Soul Circuits has just added another Vortex Music co-write, “If You,” to the package they are currently shopping. The song was co-written with the very talented producer/songwriter Shawn Lucas. Several majors are knocking on their door, and so we expect to hear more exciting news from across the pond very soon.
Soul Circuits is a new concept created between two roots members, Isham and Mark, with the marvelous voice of Raquel featured on some songs. Their sonic signature is identifiable even as they cross different musical styles ranging from the 70s right through to the cutting-edge, trendsetting sounds of the future.
Vortex Music’s song “Lost In Translation” was recently placed on CBS Television’s #1 daytime drama, the Young and the Restless. The song was written by Hugh Colocott, Jimmy Santis and the very talented Janice Fitzgerald.
